"Flying may not be all plain sailing, but the fun of it is worth the price."

Amelia Earhart was born on July 24 1897. Earhart was the first aviatrix to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, this image illustrates her famous disappearence off the shore of Howland Island in July 2, 1937.

on the one hand, i wish we can solve that mystery and find out what happened to her. on the other hand, it's such a huge part of american lore that it should remain a mystery!
